Visually stunning, this home theatre built by Bachly Construction is a state of the art embodiment of what defines the home entertainment experience. The cutting edge H2 Designs brought together some of the best technological equipment, and married with the modern design, this home theatre is top quality.
“Busy family members are often hard to get together, but a home theater is just the thing to do the trick. In this abode, the theater was designed to be a gathering place where family could enjoy movies together with outstanding picture and sound. H2 Systems was chosen for the technical build-out, but had to work with limited depth and the edict that the room contain three rows of theater seating. To accomplish this, the team kept riser depths to a minimum and added smaller risers to the top to boost seating height and provide optimal sightlines. Acoustically, H2 isolated the room using Kinetics products. IsoMax resilient sound isolation clips were installed behind drywall and IsoBacker putty pads behind light fixtures, electrical boxes and keypads. No detail was left to chance, with H2 Systems specifying airtight pot light enclosures and putting Roxul insulation in the ceiling and walls. Even the HVAC ducts were damped using Kinetics Duct Silencer. The homeowner opted for a reflective cork composite floor instead of the traditional theater carpet. H2 Systems compensated for it and the reflective ceiling with custom 1-inch-thick Kinetics acoustic panels on the room’s vertical surfaces. Now, when the B&W Custom Theatre Series front speakers fire from behind the micro-perforated screen and acoustic panels, the room comes alive. Of course, you would never know it from elsewhere in the house.
While acoustics were painstaking, video is equally impressive thanks to the Runco LS5 projector with Whitney anamorphic lens and 120-inch Stewart Filmscreen. The entire room—including the Kaleidescape Blu-ray disc vault—is controllable via the Crestron control system. To give the theater a subtle theme and elegance, H2 custom-designed distinctive gently curving patterns on the ceiling and rear wall, the final touch on a high-performance, class-act theater.”
